REBEL. DESIGNER. MOTHER.

Riddhi Doshi believes she is all 3 or nothing. Her three identities are intricately intertwined, each a welcome and necessary inclusion in the other.
Her voice is measured, her smile is open. Her carefully composed exterior willingly shows glimpses of an inner rebel, propelled by curiosity. Her sketches lie on the table as her daughter sits, grinning, next to her. Here is a person who has successfully merged many worlds – of edginess and class; of parenthood and professionalism; of energy and zen.

HER STORY

Riddhi’s love for creation started at a very young age. A perceptive and curious child, she was drawn to patterns and the uncommon. Her creativity and amicable nature endeared her to others and she quickly learnt the importance of being original.

As she grew older, her inquisitiveness pushed her to travel, to learn more about people and their cultures, and to embrace adventure. Her exposure to various experiences and views inspired her to focus on making deeper connections with people.

She decided to do this the only way she knew how – through design.

Born into a family of diamond merchants, Riddhi was pulled into the world of fashion and design very early in life. Symmetry, physics, visual aesthetics became instinctive to her.
She was raring to create something of her own. As years passed, she realised that she did not want to rely on the family business and pledged to work harder to support herself. Ambitious and determined, she joined Tanishq by Titan as a designer. Three years later she became a part of the Eurostar Dimexon empire as a designer.
Now, nearly 2 decades later, she is heading a jewellery brand, unique in approach and aesthetics.
Intuitive, instinctive, and loving, Riddhi Doshi takes her role as a mother most seriously. “Nirvaan and Saira are just like me. Energetic, curious, always active. I think I’ve grown eyes at the back of my head now.”
However, having children doesn’t tire her. If anything, she seems to be more energetic, more focused; and she still finds time to indulge in everything that inspires her – her family, parties, design, travel, and, of course, scuba-diving. “She’s going from 37 to 21!” – Hardik. It’s all par for the course for Riddhi though. “I love being a mother. My children make me a happy designer.”
